Classical Noir Box

well, not quite. this box was intended for a certain greekmythology-inspired deck, but then i made it just a bit too small. anyway, the look i wanted to achieve was inspired by one of those franklin mint pieces they advertised in mags before. it was a greco-roman mythology-themed chess set with gold-on-ivory, and gold-on-ebony chesspieces. so i thought of making a pillar-shaped box with the darker colour scheme i just described. the measurements were hell to work with since i get obsessive-compulsive with symmetry, sometimes. materials used: illustration board, black and gold paint, acrylic varnish, lacquer varnish, and black ribbon thingies for bordering.
