Guryons are huge bamboo-shafted kites flown during windy summer days here in the Philippines. Inspired by the stylized, african-themed illustrations of Diane and Leo Dillon in a book i read as a kid...

and yes, that there's really my name...

Guryon Dreams by ~blue-fusion made me stop and take a look. The blending of warm and cool colors is inviting and the ethnic patterns are done perfectly to make this a great piece of art. (Featured by `Aeires)

i like the texture. the colors exude a warm feeling which, in my opinion, is perfect for children's books. and i always admire the idea that there's always something filipino in your works. great job as always :)
